What’s New at Plaskoff Construction

As we enter the beginning of a new year, we’d like to share with you some of the important and exciting things happening for Plaskoff Construction in 2006. Providing you with the best possible service starts with keeping you posted on what we have to offer.

Thank you to all of our clients who made 2005 an outstanding year for us. We hope we’ll be able to serve you again as we look forward to an exciting and productive 2006.

This year, we’ve become increasingly focused on offering the complete design build package. Our complete in-house design division, with an Architect and an Interior Designer who head the new Plaskoff Design Group, offers comprehensive architectural and interior design services. Clients can come to us with a concept and we’ll take them through the entire process: from concept to design to budgeting to construction, and even to decorating.

This is a huge advantage for our clients who tend to be very busy individuals. They no longer have five or six different sources and contacts to deal with. You essentially have one-stop shopping – one place to coordinate everything related to your project.

John Himes, our in-house Architect, is known for designing high-end single family residential work. Himes has designed houses ranging from 600 square feet to over 18,000 square feet in a myriad of styles.

Pegi Miller, our Director of Interior Design, is an award-winning designer with a distinguished reputation for building, remodeling and designing interiors for residential and commercial properties. “I really enjoy the process of articulating the client’s needs, wants and desires,” says Pegi. “Executing projects which are functional and beautiful, while maintaining the client’s wish list, is very challenging and rewarding to me.”

We established the Plaskoff Design Group to not only provide design and decorating services for our design build clients, but also for potential clients who wish to hire us solely for interior design and decorating services. Our designers are well versed in a range of styles, enabling us to satisfy the client’s vision no matter what the demands.

We’re becoming more environmentally friendly. The challenge has been how to incorporate green building into the type of luxury, custom-built homes we specialize in. We’ve already been building energy efficient homes and recycling construction waste for some time. This year we’re beginning to work with several vendors and manufacturers to come up with more innovative ways of incorporating green building practices and design concepts into our construction projects.

We’re not interested in growing dramatically. We realize that we’ve created an outstanding business model that our clients value. Therefore we’re focused this year on making it even better with even greater consistency of product, service and client satisfaction. We’re always looking for new ways to create efficiency and to make the whole construction process easier for you, the client.

We’re giving back to the community. Matt will continue to expand upon his sponsorship of various charities in 2006. He will continue to act as a consultant for ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, a role he relishes for the opportunity to help deserving families realize their dreams. In April, Matt is being honored with the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s “2006 Award of Distinction” for his work on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. That has created an alliance with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, where Matt will be helping them understand how they can tap into the construction industry to help with their fundraising and support.

We do what we do because we love it. All of the people who work at Plaskoff Construction are passionate about what they do. The consistent theme with each member of our team is that they enjoy changing people’s lives by improving their living spaces. We’re looking forward to making 2006 a stellar year for us and for our clients.
